Spice Market is on the 6th floor of Esite along with a few other restaurants. We came here because on a previous day, we were visiting the bookstore and saw how packed / popular the place was and did a quick look at the menu options.
This place is notably Thai, in selection, spices, etc. And that’s a great thing, because just I love Thai food and everything tasted authentic. And if it wasn’t, the Thai sauces nearby solve that problem right away.
The above fish station shows off some of the seafood used in making soup you order from the chef at that station.
The prime rib steak is from Australia, like most steaks served here in Taiwan. It was reasonably good but not a stand-out amongst the rest of the selections.
The dessert selection was OK. The Haagen Daaz ice-cream was good though, and I helped myself to two waffle cones of ice cream for my dessert.
Overall a really great buffet choice for about $30 USD per person (in the weekend). One thing to note is that they are really strict on the buffet eating times in the weekend – it was roughly 2 hour limit which we surprisingly hit because we were having a good time. Service was excellent otherwise.
