The above pictured Mala Beef Noodle is supposed to have a lingering, but pleasing spicy burn that is supposed to numb the mouth a little. It did just that, but because we asked for a little spicy, it didn’t quite live up to the name of the dish. I’d recommend just getting it the way it was supposed to be made with no adjustments to the level of spicy-ness.
I liked the additions included in this bowl: bean curd, and the pig blood cake. The beef was not extra-ordinary, and like its peers, never enough; but was satisfying.
The noodles I ordered were rice noodles.
Based on my experience, I’d give it 3.5 / 5 stars. Bonus half-point for accepting Visa/Mastercard.
